RYIGG Champions Youth Inclusion, Good Governance and Rural Development on Independent Radio Abuja

The Rural Youth Initiative for Good Governance (RYIGG) took its advocacy for inclusive governance and rural youth development to the airwaves today as the organisation’s National Convener, Hon. Engr. Andrew Adama, and National Secretary, Alhaji Muhammad Agbas, featured on the Monday Morning Talk Show on Independent Radio, Abuja.

The engaging programme provided an opportunity to spotlight the challenges confronting young people in rural communities and the urgent need for greater youth participation in governance and national development.

During the discussion, the RYIGG leadership highlighted the importance of youth empowerment, inclusive governance, grassroots participation, rural development, employment opportunities, agricultural development and meaningful representation of young Nigerians in decision-making processes.

They also stressed that rural youths should not be treated merely as beneficiaries of government programmes, but as active stakeholders and partners in building a stronger, more prosperous and accountable Nigeria.

The discussion further underscored the need for improved access to education, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, agriculture, finance, digital opportunities and social infrastructure for young people in rural communities.

With its growing grassroots presence, RYIGG continues to advocate for a system where rural youths are empowered, heard and given the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to governance and national development.

The appearance reaffirmed RYIGG’s commitment to taking the voices and aspirations of rural youths beyond the grassroots and onto the national conversation.
